Being Literate doesn’t only mean how to read and write as many perceive it because one would ask, after knowing how to read and write, what next?

Many newcomers in Canada and many organizations offer ESL classes to newcomers which Literacy Beyond Borders Canada Initiative is also to offer. However we realize that newcomers needs are more than to knowing the English language.
